Invasive plants and weeds are hard enough to control, but it's even more challenging if you can't use toxic chemicals. Whether it's phragmites taking over ditches or thistle invading your park, it's a problem. Invasives crowd out native plants that would otherwise support native birds, bugs, and other welcome wildlife.

As more communities prohibit or limit the use of chemical pesticides, you need solutions.

This free workshop and field demonstration will help service departments, landscapers, school groundskeepers, and anyone with a lot of land, field, or forest control invasive plants where you can't, or don't want to, use toxic chemical control measures. Classroom discussions followed by a field demonstration, and materials to take home, will equip you with strategies to conquer the invaders and keep them at bay.

This program is made possible with funding from the Ohio EPA/Ohio Environmental Education Fund.
