Producing Vegetables in Tunnels: Two "Bottom Line" Workshops for Growers
These workshops will address many questions about using low, mid, and high tunnels to protect crops, increase farm productivity and profit potential, enhance crop diversity, and lengthen production-marketing periods, all at nearly any scale and in nearly any setting, rural or urban. If you have not yet started to use tunnels or have some experience with them, consider joining OSU resource people and your peers for one or both of these interactive workshops focused on what growers need and want to know.
Tunnels 201: Making More of Tunnel Production
What’s holding you back? How can your system be improved? What are the most persistent and difficult challenges in your tunnel-based operation? Possible solutions? Effective strategies? Best for people with some tunnel (especially high tunnel) production experience.
Dr. Matt Kleinhenz, Elizabeth Roche, and peers will serve as resource people. Both workshops will be held at the OSU Extension office (5320 Stanard Ave. Cleveland, OH 44103). Space is limited to 40 participants per class. RSVP and registration is required.
To register, please call OSU Extension: 216-429-8200. If you have any specific tunnel questions you would like to be addressed, please email them to [email protected] and we will do our best to answer each question during the workshop.
For questions, contact: Elizabeth Roche ([email protected]) or Matt Kleinhenz ([email protected])
