By the last time the Cuyahoga River caught fire on June 22, 1969, it had no visible life. Fifty years later the river is alive again. Cuyahoga50 is about celebrating fifty years of progress and tackling today’s clean water challenges.

Rivergate Park serves as the recreation hub for the Cuyahoga50 celebration, with tons of activities both on land and on the river:

On land:

• Family-friendly games, activities, and water education
• Food trucks (Barrio, Mother Truck and Tasty, Sainato’s)
• Beer Garden with Great Lakes Brewing Co.
• Live entertainment from DJ Blackfire and Broken English
• Metroparks Family Zone at Merwin’s Wharf
• Special guest speakers celebrate the Cuyahoga River Water Trail
• Culmination of the Xtinguish Torch Fest (xtinguishcelebration.com/torch-fest)
