Add to Calendar   09/02/2020 07:00 PM 09/02/2020 09:30 PM America/New_York What It's Like to Be a Bird: A Special Lecture with David Allen Sibley

Join author and illustrator David Allen Sibley as he discusses his upcoming book What It's Like to Be a Bird: What Birds are Doing, and Why—from Flying to Nesting, Eating to Singing

Sibley’s new book is for birders and non-birders alike that will excite and inspire by providing a new and deeper understanding of what common, mostly backyard, birds are doing… and why! It’s been a long time in the making and is the result of his deep curiosity about the birds he has spent his life observing, painting, and celebrating. And he wanted to share some of the incredible new scientific research on birds and the myriad ways they have adapted to meet the challenges they face, including the loss of nearly 3 billion, or 29%, in North America since 1970.

As a registrant of this event, you will also be granted a special opportunity to purchase your own copy of What It’s Like to Be a Bird, signed with a special bookplate and sketch from David Allen Sibley! Once you have registered for the event you will receive a link to be able to purchase your signed copy through Loganberry Books.
