Protect Our Parks: Campaign Kick Off Meeting!
When: Wednesday, January 25, 7-8 pm
Where: Market Garden Brewery, Ohio City Room
Our parks and forests provide us with clean air and water, recreation space, and economic stimulus. The outcome of the recent election has put our national parks and wilderness spaces at risk more than ever, and we're expecting to see relentless attacks on our public lands despite strong public support for our parks, rivers, and forests. We need to ensure that important laws like the Antiquities Act and the Wilderness Act that create and protect these places are not weakened or repealed.
Here in Cleveland, we’re working to convince Senator Portman to defend these bedrock environmental protections. This spring we'll be organizing community events, collecting petition signatures, building a broad coalition of local groups & more to show our Senator that we support wilderness and won’t stand to see it disappear.
Come to our Protect Our Parks Kickoff Meeting to learn more about the campaign and get involved!
