Please join the Sierra Club to discuss how legislation is shaping plastic consumption and the way we use plastics. Learn about the commitment of Plastic Free July, the fourth R - Refuse, and preparing for upcoming changes at the local and state level.

During this conversation we will answer questions such as:

  • What can I do to reduce or eliminate my dependency on single use plastics?

  • How can I prepare for the Cuyahoga County plastic bag ban?

  • What role does plastic play in your life?

  • What resources are available to help me understand the issue of plastic pollution?

The Ohio Chapter of the Sierra Club was established 50 years ago and represents more than 25,000 members and supporters. The Chapter advocates for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and public transit. We proudly defend Ohio’s forests, state parks, and nature preserves. We preserve water resources by advocating for green infrastructure, factory farm regulation, and protections for Lake Erie and watersheds throughout the state. Finally, we promote Ohio’s transition to a 21st-century economy through the creation of good-paying, long-standing green jobs.
