Plant Sale
Featuring nearly two dozen species of Holden’s nursery propagated and grown wildflowers, most from seeds collected at Holden. In addition, dozens of selected area nurseries and gardens are invited to offer a wide selection of perennials, annuals, herbs, woody plants (shrubs/trees), and garden accessories. Access to a variety of plant and soil experts makes this one-stop shopping opportunity informative and well worth your time. A portion of each sale supports The Holden Arboretum.
Sharpen Your Gardening Tools
Bring your tools as we’ll have a representative from the Cleveland Knife Sharpeners Guild each day. For a reasonable fee, non-electric pruners, loppers, hatchets, axes, grass shearers, hedge trimmers or lawn mower blades (off the mower), as well as knives and scissors, can be dropped off and sharpened while you peruse the Plant Sale offerings. This service provides not only a new edge but corrects any issues with blade shape for quality cutting. Friday, Noon – 5pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am-3pm.
Rain or shine event – dress appropriately. We welcome leashed dogs on our trails; please refrain from bringing them into the plant sale and food vendor areas.
