The Gentle Subversive: Rachel Carson, Silent Spring, and the Rise of the Environmental Movement Literature Series presented by Cheryl Wires
In this three-week series, we’ll discuss The Gentle Subversive, Mark Hamilton Lytle’s account of Rachel Carson’s life and legacy. By writing Silent Spring, this woman scientist reluctantly challenged the use of pesticides in the 1960s. Cheryl Wires is an instructor with Case Western Reserve University’s Laura and Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Program.
