Join Dr. Andy Jones and Courtney Brennan from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s Ornithology Department for a birding adventure! In an excursion perfect for both beginning and seasoned birders, we will explore local habitats as migration wraps up and the nesting season is in full swing.

Late May is a time of transition. Spring migration is drawing to a close, but flycatchers and some species of warblers will still be coming through in good numbers. Earlier-arriving species have staked out territories and are starting to nest, and some early nesters may already have fledged young. Late May is also a time of significant vocal activity from our nesting species; we will learn how to identify several common species by ear. Guests will receive a 21-species hit list to use for this field trip!
