Canada geese, to biologists, are an outstanding conservation success story. On the verge of extinction, these creatures made a remarkable recovery in much of North America. To a landowner, however, they can be viewed as nuisances that create conflict according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).

Learn more about conflict management with Canada geese in urban and suburban areas during a free public program on Thursday, March 22nd, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The program will take place at Cleveland Metroparks’ Watershed Stewardship Center (within the West Creek Reservation), 2277 West Ridgewood Drive, Parma, OH.

The seminar will be led by ODNR Division of Wildlife field technician, Laura Graber, who specializes in dealing with goose conflicts in northeast Ohio. Topics to be covered at this seminar will not only include conflict management but also Canada goose biology, ecology, and population trends.

This program is best suited for ages 16 and up. The program is free but pre-registration is required as seating is limited. Call ODNR Division of Wildlife at (330) 644-2293.
