Forum: Climate Change and Public Health
As 2017 begins, the political landscape in DC and Columbus pose significant challenges to environmental progress and protecting public health. As a new group of elected officials take office, now is the time to come together and raise our voice to ensure our lawmakers are standing up for Ohioans. Join us for a roundtable discussion on the anticipated attacks on climate change progress under the Trump Administration, how rollbacks on climate change progress could impact public health, and local efforts to invest in clean energy and climate resiliency. Additionally, the event will include a discussion on actions individuals can take to defend progress on climate change and protect public health in your community.
Speakers:
- Dr. Eric Schreiber, retired physician and Climate Reality speaker;
- Rev. Tony Minor, Director of Advocacy at Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry;
- Chad Stephens, Climate Resiliency & Urban Greening Coordinator Cleveland Neighborhood Progress;
- Jen Miller, Director, Sierra Club - Ohio Chapter;
- Mike Foley, Director of Sustainability, Cuyahoga County (Moderator)
Sponsored by Ohio Sierra Club.
