Cuyahoga County Solar Co-op Informational Meeting 2
The Cuyahoga County Department of Sustainability, City of Cleveland Mayor’s Office of Sustainability and Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) are partnering with the non-profit OH SUN to make it easy for employees, their neighbors and friends to go solar.
Through a co-op model, OH SUN expands access to solar by educating Ohioans about the benefits of distributed solar energy, helping them organize group solar installations, and strengthening the state’s policies and its community of solar supporters.
The co-op will solicit bids from local installers in order to get the most competitive pricing. Once we select an installer, each co-op member gets an individualized proposal that reflects the group discount. By going solar with a group, members will save about 20% off the cost of a typical installation.
We will be holding a series of information sessions for county residents to learn more about the co-op. If you are interested, attend one of these meetings, which will cover solar basics, how the co-op works, and the costs of going solar.
