Summit Artspace will open up its gallery for an evening of discussion and reflection on the Cuyahoga River, its past and future with the photographers and organizers of the "Crooked River Contrasts" exhibit.

The photo exhibition is part of the Xtinguish celebration, a regional commemoration of the the rejuvenation of the river after the infamous burning in 1969. West Creek Conservancy is the sponsoring organization. Xtinguish and West Creek are the cornerstones of the effort and are funding and coordinating the exhibit. The show runs April 12-May 18 at Summit Artspace on East Market, 140 E. Market St., Akron. It is free and open to the public. The opening reception is Friday, April 12, 5-8 pm, also free.
