Call to FREEDOM for the TAKEN PUSHOUT Screening
Join the screening of Pushout: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools & Panel discussion with a panel discussion and breakout sessions. The panelist will consist of community leaders and others who have a vested interest in bringing awareness to and stopping these issues. The event would be accompanied by the traveling exhibit, Unleashed.
Unleashed is a traveling exhibit curated by the Renee Jones Empowerment Center (RJCC). RJCC is the premier agency in Northeast Ohio that focuses much of its efforts on advocacy and support for the survivors of human trafficking. Unleashed takes the viewer inside the world of Trafficking with actual items from the lives of the girls while they were trafficked and during escape.
This screening is hosted by The Zollie McClendon Memorial Foundation, ZMMF
Following the film, local leaders and professionals will lead us in a conversation about what we can do as a community to support black girls thrive concluding the day with stimulating breakout sessions.
