Commercial, industrial, non-profit and multifamily property owners in Ohio are using C-PACE financing to install efficient or clean energy systems, reduce their operating costs, and improve the energy performance of their facilities.

• In the past nine months, nine properties have accessed $5M in C-PACE financing from Greenworks Lending to upgrade their boilers, chillers, HVAC and mechanical systems and add new efficient systems like LED lighting and solar.

• Since the passing of Ohio’s C-PACE law in 2009, projects have largely relied on public finance authorities to marry existing bond funds with the PACE instrument.

• Now, private capital providers like Greenworks have entered Ohio to provide a low-cost, flexible financing package that can reduce the transactional costs often associated with public financing of commercial PACE projects.
