What will the commercial real estate market look like in the next few years? In this session, we will discuss the outlook for industrial, retail and commercial office space in light of the pandemic. Will the work from home trend continue or will we move to a hybrid, in-person and virtual model - and what would that mean for how office space is used? There is a great emphasis and concern for creating safe public spaces. We will examine the results from various surveys and discuss what the short-term and long-term strategy is for how we will re-occupy and design safe interior commercial spaces.

Our speakers will also address how energy and water use has changed due to building shutdowns and continued partial occupancy. Commuter transportation emissions decreased drastically during the shutdown period. We will review data correlating emissions to air quality and discuss how this might influence the community to rethink their commuting transportation choices.
