Youth Led CLIMATE ACTION SUMMIT
The Environmental Heroes, a group of middle and high school citizen scientists at Case Western Reserve University's Gelfand STEM Center, invite you to participate in this youth led Climate Action Summit scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2020, 4:00pm-6:00pm via Zoom.
Keynote speaker Dr. Eric Schreiber, representing former Vice President Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project, will share information about climate change.
Environmental Heroes students leading the event will engage the audience in action steps to convince the state legislature to develop and implement a Climate Action Plan (CAP) for Ohio. (Thirty-two states already have some form of CAP.)
The action steps include letter templates for members of the legislature urging them to prepare a CAP, petitions signed by all attendees, individual pledges to address climate change, and steps to take following this summit. Representatives from offices of sustainability and environmental advocates from around the state will share some of their own offices' efforts.

Please register for this free event by e-mail: [email protected] . (Space limited on Zoom.) Connecting information will be provided to registrants.
