Acacia Reservation-Cedar Rd. parking lot, 2.5 miles (Hike difficulty: paved trail, some hills, moderate pace)
Hike Details: Please join FOEC as we enjoy our final 15th Anniversary hike in the Euclid Creek Watershed. We will hike two and a half miles at the Acacia Reservation. Get the latest update on the Cleveland Metroparks' plans to restore the former golf course at Acacia from Jenn Grieser, Senior Natural Resource Manager-Urban Watersheds, Cleveland Metroparks. And, see how the landscape has changed since Day in the Life in July, with the beautiful Fall colors now on full display. Hike difficulty: Flat to moderately rolling portions, slow pace: mostly paved with some creek/wetland edge walking. Please contact Ken Rapport at 216-287-8693 with additional questions.
When you've completed this hike, you will have walked 15 miles through the watershed. Hooray!!
Planting Details: WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!! Help Cleveland Metroparks and Holden Arboretum continue to convert this former golf course back to a more natural landscape. We will be planting 200+ trees in the riparian area of Euclid Creek's headwaters. (Rain date: November 12, 9am - Noon). Registration required. To register, click here
