The City of Cleveland - Mayor's Office of Sustainability & Climate Justice invites the general public to submit nominations for the 2023 Black Sustainability Leaders!
Deadline: Friday, January 27, 2023
Throughout the month of February, we'll be celebrating Black History Month by highlighting BIPOC and the work they're doing to make the Northeast region greener, healthier, and more equitable for people of all walks of life.
We welcome nominees from every age, career phase, and expertise but they must be working to address one of the goals outlined in the Cleveland Climate Action Plan:
- Clean Energy
- Local Food
- Waste Reduction
- Sustainable Transportation
- Clean Water
- Parks & Trees
- And more
Please make particular note of the impact your nominee has had on the lives of the people in the Cleveland community. You may include news clips and other background materials; however supporting materials are not required.
The primary consideration upon review is a demonstrated history of service and commitment to the community by striving to making Cleveland a thriving green city on a blue lake.
