Join Cuyahoga County’s Department of Public Works and the City of Cleveland’s Office of Sustainability for the annual Veterans Memorial Bridge tour. As part of Cuyahoga50, this event will honor the 50th anniversary of the infamous Cuyahoga River burning. Check out other June 22nd events at Cuyahoga50.org.

This free, self-guided tour allows visitors to experience the original streetcar station and tracks, as well as unique views of the Cuyahoga River, Lake Erie, and downtown Cleveland. The event will feature a special immersive, color-changing light exhibition designed by internationally-renowned Squidsoup, a group of artists and designers based in the UK, as part of Cleveland Foundation’s Creative Fusion.

There will be food trucks on-site for anyone wishing to purchase food. There will also be plenty of family-friendly activities, a series of films, and dozens of information tables.

• Please be mindful that there is NO PARKING available at the site of the tour, and limited street parking on both the east and west side entrances. Alternatives include:
  • Drop Off Zones (2433 Superior Viaduct, Cleveland, OH 44113; and corner of West 10th St. and Superior Ave.)
    •  The drop off zone will be located outside of the entrances to the bridge tour. No parking and/or leaving vehicle unattended. Unattended vehicles will be towed.
  • Regional Transit Authority (RTA)

  • Carpool or Bicycling
    • If you are able to carpool or bike, please do so.
  • Flats East Bank and Downtown

A release form must be signed for anyone who enters the bridge and a valid ID is required for entrance.
