Green Venues
The Cleveland Green Venues Project is a collaboration between the U.S. EPA, Ohio EPA, Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District, and the City of Cleveland’s Office of Sustainability. The participating venues below signed onto the Cleveland Green Venues pledge at the end of 2011. These venues have committed to making improvements in at least two of following five sustainability action areas:
- Materials Management
- Energy Conservation and Efficiency
- Water Conservation and Efficiency
- Environmentally Preferable Purchasing
- Transportation
All pledged venues were required to work on ‘Community Connections’. In the following links, each venue touches on the history of the organization, sustainability challenges, reasons for becoming a Cleveland Green Venue, key sustainability action areas, and future sustainability endeavors. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a Green Venue.
